Why you should insulate your conservatory ceiling

Does your conservatory have adequate insulation installed on its ceiling? Most people don’t think about the insulation of their conservatory roofs. They assume their roof is what prevents outside air from coming into the conservatory or inside air from escaping the conservatory. However, the insulation on the conservatory ceiling is what actually prevents indoor air from leaving and outdoor air from coming inside.

Why is this important? Well, it is important because your conservatory must maintain an ideal temperature during the coldest and hottest months of the year. If you want your indoor air conditioning to cool down your conservatory during the hot summer months, then you need good insulation to prevent the air from escaping. And if you want heated air to warm up your conservatory during the brutally cold winter months, then the same logic applies.

Traditional conservatory roofs are not made from the same high-quality materials found on your home’s roof. Most conservatory roofs are constructed for aesthetic purposes and to prevent rain from getting into your conservatory. However, they don’t do a very good job when it comes to insulation and blocking air from passing through them.

For this reason, you need to invest in a separate insulation system for your conservatory ceiling. It is a much cheaper option than replacing the entire roof with a new one. A premium insulated conservatory ceiling system will prevent 90% of your indoor air from being lost in the conservatory. It is also designed to reduce the noise of raindrops as they fall onto your roof.

After your insulated conservatory ceiling system is installed, your monthly energy bill will start to decrease drastically. You will save so much money because your air conditioner and heater will not have to work so hard anymore. All that cool or heated air will stay inside for a longer period of time.
